How we document the origin of every part
A certificate that says “reclaimed steel” says nothing. Ours names the machine class, the sourcing location and the condition of the part before we touched it.
01Condition report before the first cut
Every part is photographed on arrival from six angles, weighed, and measured for residual wall thickness. That report is written before any decision about the object is made, which means it records the part rather than justifying the design.
02What the certificate actually contains
Machine class and approximate service period, sourcing location, pre-transformation condition, the structural work performed, the finish system used, and the edition number. No claim we cannot evidence — including mass, which we state only once a prototype has been weighed.
If we cannot evidence it, it does not go on the certificate.
03Why this matters on resale
Collectible design is resold on provenance. An object with a documented part history and a photographic record of transformation carries that history forward; an undocumented one becomes anonymous industrial salvage the moment it changes hands.
